Zajac scored the first goal of the game and assisted on Reid Boucher's game-winner -- both on power plays -- in Tuesday's 2-1 victory over Boston.
EDGE Analysis
In a bizarre game that saw the Devils get utterly dominated in shots by a ridiculous 40-15 margin, Zajac and Reid Boucher were difference makers, making good on their precious few scoring chances. Not typically much of a scorer, Zajac's potted goals in consecutive games, part of a recent streak of productivity that's seen him notch seven points in his last seven contests. The Devils don't do a whole lot of scoring these days, but Zajac has typically been responsible for much of the offense they do produce.
