Zack Kassian was among the 16 players that Buffalo sent down to the minors on Monday. Joining him as cuts from the big club were forwards Marcus Foligno, Corey Tropp, Jonathan Parker, Michael Ryan, Colin Stuart, Phil Varone and Derek Whitmore; defensemen T.J. Brennan, Brayden McNabb, Joe Finley, Drew Schiestel and Dennis Persson and goaltender Drew MacIntyre. MacIntyre, Persson, Ryan and Stuart have to clear waivers before reporting. The Sabres also sent veterans Ales Kotalik and Shaone Morrisonn down to the AHL level.
