Vrana (personal) won't play Wednesday against Tampa Bay, Ansar Khan of MLive.com reports.

Vrana, who pushed himself hard during Tuesday's optional practice, may head to AHL Grand Rapids for a conditioning stint before he returns to action with the Red Wings. He hasn't played since Oct. 15 following his placement in the NHL/NHLPA player assistance program. Vrana has been skating with Detroit since last Friday.
