Gaudreau was removed from Monday's preseason matchup with the Oilers for precautionary reasons, so although he won't play against the Jets, at this point there's no reason to believe he won't be ready for Calgary's regular-season opener against Edmonton on Oct. 16. The 28-year-old winger racked up 19 goals and 49 points, 19 of which came with the man advantage, in 56 games last campaign.
