With the return to action of Tim Thomas Saturday, the Panthers are expected to send Jacob Markstrom to the AHL. Scott Clemmensen has done a nice job in two games since his return from injury and is a capable backup for the now healthy Tim Thomas. The 23-year-old Markstrom has been terribly inconsistent this year and will benefit from some seasoning in the minors.
