Winnipeg GM Kevin Cheveldayoff was thrilled with the progress Blake Wheeler displayed last season. The 25-year-old winger led the team with 47 assists and 64 points in 80 games in the 2011-12 campaign. "Blake has taken a step we hoped he would take given the opportunities he had in our organization versus what he had in Boston," said Cheveldayoff. "We're very happy with the year Blake had and we're hoping that step can continue." It wouldn't be surprising to see him take a bit of a step back next year, but he still should be good for at least 50 points.
