Wideman had his initial 20-game suspension halved after neutral arbitrator James Oldham made his ruling Friday, Nick Kypreos of Sportsnet reports.

Unfortunately from Wideman, the decision comes 19 games into the original suspension, so he will just be returned half of the pay he had to forfeit. While Wideman's eligible to play Friday against the Coyotes, it's highly unlikely that he'll be in the lineup after such a long layoff and the fact that the Flames would have to demote a player to make a roster space for Wideman.
