When Steve Ott scored on the power play for the Dallas Stars Thursday it broke a 0-22 slump with the man-advantage, a span of nine games. The Stars power play has sunk to near the bottom of the standings as they have scored only 12 times in 79 chances. They are the only team in the NHL yet to have a five-on-three opportunity and this is two months into the season. The pp should improve next week with the return of Alex Goligoski to the point.
