Wheeler finished the preseason with one goal and one assist in four games played. Wheeler had his strongest season as a pro in 2013-14 and is projected to put up similar offensive numbers this season. He is expected to be on the second line with Mark Scheifele and Evander Kane this season which could benefit them since they won't see the toughest matchups every night. Wheeler has played in every game the past two seasons so his durability should not be in question heading into 2014-15.
