Weegar was brought up from AHL Springfield on Monday, Harvey Fialkov of the Sun Sentinel reports.

The young defender's recall is the second of his career, though he's yet to make his NHL debut. Whether or not he cracks the lineup for Monday's matchup with Montreal remains to be seen, but he's been fairly productive in the minors this season, logging 13 goals and 32 points in 57 games.
