Wayne Simmonds has nine goals in only 20 games so far in this 48-game shortened season. His nine goals are actually tied for the team lead with Jakub Voracek. "Wayne's had a terrific start to the season," coach Peter Laviolette said. "He does a lot for our team and that was a nice goal Saturday. Typically his goals are with one or two guys draped around him in the crease and he's trying to somehow bang them in, but that was a goal scorer's goal today and it was pretty." Simmonds, who plays every game with an edge, is one of those rare players that can put up solid offensive numbers while still giving fantasy owners plenty of PIM's.
