He also added a fighting major against Pittsburgh's Deryk Engelland in the game's closing moments despite having a swollen eye from a puck he was struck by on Saturday. Simmonds has enjoyed a career year in his first season with the Flyers. His previous high for goals were the 16 he scored with the Kings in 2009-10 and his 48 points also represents a new personal best. The rugged winger has chipped in 110 penalty minutes as well.
