Watson was assigned by the Predators to AHL Milwaukee on Saturday, Adam Vingan of the Tennessean reports.
EDGE Analysis
Watson played in 57 games for Nashville last season but contributed only 10 points on 10 minutes of ice time per game. The No. 18 overall pick in the 2010 draft has a more impressive record at the AHL as he's produced 46 and 44 points, respectively, during the 2013-14 and 2014-15 campaign with AHL Milwaukee. Given his proven track record in hockey minors and experience in the NHL, he'll be a likely call up candidate should one of the Predators forwards go down with an injury.
