Volchenkov assisted on both of the Predators' goals in their shutout win over the Jets on Friday. The points were Volchenkov's first of the season, but he shouldn't be counted on to offer many contributions on the offensive end. Instead, he'll play a stay-at-home role on the pairing with youngster Seth Jones, offering most of his utility in the form of hits and blocked shots.
