Visnovsky's agent, Neil Sheehy, stated Tuesday that Visnovsky will play in the NHL this season, according to Islanders Point Blank. Visnovsky had five goals and 20 points in 53 games last season. While the Isles could certainly use his presence at point on the power play, his injury history would seem to necessitate that only on a team friendly deal should the team welcome him back. The Islanders would seem to be better off to giving the roster spot to Ryan Pulock, Griffin Reinhart, or Matt Donovan rather than on an aging veteran that has little to offer at this point in his career and has a pretty extensive concussion history.
