Anderson stopped 27 of 28 shots in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Coyotes.
EDGE Analysis
Quality of opponent aside, Anderson was impressive in his first game since Nov. 2. His shutout was spoiled by Shayne Gostisbehere's power-play tally midway through the third period. Anderson was out for 33 games with an upper-body injury, but he returned at just the right time, as the Sabres are dealing with a handful of injuries to goalies. The 40-year-old is 5-2-0 through seven appearances. He's posted a 2.28 GAA and a .927 save percentage, and he should function as the Sabres' No. 1 goalie going forward. The team has not designated a starting goalie for Sunday's difficult road game in Colorado.
