Travis Zajac was between Zach Parise and Ilya Kovalchuk during Thursday's morning skate. The reunion of the team's top line resulted in Adam Henrique being moved down to the third-line center spot with Alexei Ponikarovksy and David Clarkson on his wings. It also placed Petr Sykora back on the second line with Patrik Elias and Dainius Zubrus.
