Travis Hamonic has received an automatic one-game suspension from the NHL for an altercation with Ryan Carter in Saturday's loss to New Jersey. Hamonic was deemed to be the instigator in the final five minutes of regulation time, which earns him a one-game ban under Rule 46.22 pending a review. He dropped the gloves with Carter at the 15:23 mark of the third period and received 27 minutes in penalties on the play. Hamonic also fought Steve Berniner earlier in the third to give him 32 minutes in the sin bin on Saturday. If the suspension stands then he'll miss Sunday's game against Florida.
