Torres (knee) has been returned to the Sharks' active roster following a 41-game suspension but will be assigned to AHL San Jose for a conditioning assignment.

Torres' long layoff -- combined with a right knee injury that required surgery Dec. 11 -- prompted the Sharks to send him to the minors in order to get him back into game shape. In order for Torres to be added to the active roster, the team decided to place Dainius Zubrus (upper body) on IR.
