Tomas Tatar scored twice to lead Grand Rapids to a 3-1 win over Rockford Monday. Tatar scored both goals in the third period to break a 1-1 tie. This is Tatar's fourth season in the AHL but is still only 22 years old. He now has 13 goals and 26 points this season and should get every opportunity to crack the Detroit lineup once the lockout ends. Gustav Nyquist assisted on both goals while Landon Ferraro opened the scoring for the Griffins while Dylan Olsen scored the lone goal for the IceHogs.
