Tomas Kaberle said that the Boston Bruins did make him an offer before he ultimately signed with the Carolina Hurricanes. Kaberle didn't go into details about the Bruins' offer, but he called it "a little bit different" than Carolina's three-year/$12.75 million proposal. There was a couple of reasons why Kaberle decided to sign with the Hurricanes. For one, his brother, Frantisek Kaberle played with Carolina and was happy there. In addition to that, Kaberle has been reunited with former Leafs coach Paul Maurice, who Kaberle has a "good relationship" with. Look for him to record 40-50 points next season.
