Tomas Holmstrom will play on Detroit's fourth line to start the season. In case you were hoping the 38-year-old veteran was going to get another chance on one of the Wings' top units, think again. Holmstrom will continue to get minutes on the power play, where he is still very effective. However, his days as a prime timer are behind him as he does not have the speed to keep up.
