Tomas Holmstrom says he would like to play 3-4 more seasons, but he's not sure if he can hold up that long. Holmstrom will be an unrestricted free agent this summer and will discuss future possibilities with GM Ken Holland. Holmstrom, who made his NHL debut with Detroit during the 1996-97 campaign, played his 1,000th NHL game this season. His 11 goals and 24 points (74 games) represented his lowest output in both categories since 2001-02. His average TOI of 11:52 was his least since '00-01.
