Tomas Holmstrom didn't take part in Tuesday's practice due to a knee injury. Holmstrom is still probable for the Red Wings' season opener on Friday. Although Holmstrom will still get some playing time with the man advantage, he's expected to start the season on Detroit's fourth line.
