Tim Thomas was the first goaltender selected in the NHL All-Star Fantasy Draft Thursday night in Ottawa. Thomas led the Bruins to their first Stanley Cup since 1972 in record breaking fashion last season. Despite a little less fanfare surrounding him, the unorthodox goalie has produced at nearly the same level as his historic season of 2010-11. Thomas is showing no signs of fatigue and has now won 20 games on the season. He won't start in as many games as some of the other top-tier goaltenders because of Tuukka Rask's fine play, but that won't stop him from being among the league leaders in GAA and save percentage.
