Tim Connolly went from possible goat to hero in Wednesday's overtime win over Edmonton. He committed a turnover just inside the Oilers' zone, which became a three-on-one break. However, Toronto captain Dion Phaneuf broke up the play with a great backcheck and sent the Leafs on their own three-on-one. Connolly converted a great pass from Joffrey Lupul to score his first goal in 18 games. The Toronto forward had been battling flu-like symptoms earlier in the day and required intravenous fluids, but he finished the contest with 16:21 of ice time. Connolly now has 26 points in 46 games.
