Thornton (shoulder) went minus-3 and attempted one shot across 17:40 of ice time in Saturday's loss to the Rangers. A fixture in the press box the last four games due to the shoulder injury, Thornton didn't exactly lift the Sharks' attack upon returning Saturday. It may take him a couple games to settle in, but the team would obviously rather have a player of Thornton's caliber in their lineup -- even if he remains a bit rusty.
