Thornton picked up a pair of assists and two PIM while going plus-2 in Tuesday's shootout win over the Capitals. Coming off a season in which he took just 122 shots in 82 games -- the worst full-season total of his career -- Thornton's put just four pucks on net in three games so far. But his playmaking is still as sharp as ever despite the Sharks' coaching and management both snubbing him recently.
