After being held off the scoresheet in Games 1 and 2 against St. Louis, Jumbo Joe has piled up six apples in the last three contests. The 36-year-old has scored at exactly a point-per-game clip this postseason (17 in 17), and while it's hard to consider that type of production "secondary scoring", Thornton has provided a veteran, big-body presence behind leading scorers Joe Pavelski and Logan Couture. Also, only seven of his 17 points have come on the power play, showing just how effective he's been at even strength against L.A., Nashville and St. Louis.
