Thomas Vanek's agent, Steve Bartlett, told the Buffalo News that his client's contract to play in Austria isn't finalized just yet.
"Under consideration at this point," Bartlett said in an email. "Not 100 percent but working on insurance issues." It was reported by Sky Sports News that Vanek would be joining the Graz 99ers as soon as Thursday. He'll still probably be heading home to play though.
