The Washington Capitals have acquired Troy Brouwer from the Chicago Blackhawks for the 26th overall pick. Brouwer had 36 points and a team-leading 261 hits in 79 games last season. He also showed his toughness in the postseason by playing through through a shoulder right shoulder labral tear. He's a nice addition for the Capitals, but they will have to ink him to a new contract as he is scheduled to become a restricted free agent this summer.
