The Vancouver Canucks' negotiations with restricted free agent Chris Tanev are moving slowly. "Restricted free agents without arbitration rights are in a classification all their own. There doesn't seem to be any urgency right now but, eventually, we'll make progress," Tanev's agent Ross Gurney said. The only negotiating weapon Tanev has is the possibility of an offer sheet from another team. The Canucks don't have a ton of cap room, so an opposing squad might be able to out-muscle Vancouver with a sizable contract if they're so inclined.
