The Vancouver Canucks have placed David Booth on unconditional waivers. If Booth successfully clears waivers, then Vancouver will buy out the last season of his contract. That will clear up $4.25 million in cap space. Booth had just 19 points in 66 games in 2013-14, but a change of scenery might do him some good as he never seemed to mesh well with the Canucks.
