The Vancouver Canucks have acquired Jacob Markstrom and Shawn Matthias from the Florida Panthers in exchange for Roberto Luongo and Steven Anthony. Markstrom was seen as the Panthers' goaltender of the future, but he struggled mightily in the shortened campaign with a 3.22 GAA and .901 save percentage. He bounced between Florida and AHL San Antonio this season and never really found any success at the NHL level. Still, he's just 24 years old and should compete with Eddie Lack for the starting job in Vancouver.
