The Tampa Bay Lightning have inked Tyler Johnson to a three-year/$10 million extension. Johnson was scheduled to become a restricted free agent. He had 24 goals and 26 assists in 82 games in 2013-14 and is a Calder Trophy nominee. He was also the second rookie in the league's history to finish a season with five shorthanded and five power-play goals.
