The St. Louis Blues have recalled goaltender Jake Allen from the minors. The move is a precautionary one, precipitated by the injury to goaltender Jaroslav Halak. Halak left Saturday's game with a lower body injury after being run into by teammate Barret Jackman who collided with the goalie after trying to break up a pass to the Sharks' Martin Havlat. Allen was 13-20-2 this season with Peoria of the AHL with a 2.93 GAA and a .915 save percentage. The Blues are high on the 21-year-old as he was selected 34th overall in the 2008 Entry Draft and a reason the Blues dealt Ben Bishop to Ottawa at the trade deadline for a second round pick.
