The Sabres aren't sure when Okposo (knee) will return to the ice after taking a puck to an unpadded part of the knee.
EDGE Analysis
Okposo's status for the season opener on Oct. 13 remains questionable until further updates. He was hit by a shot in practice and tried to stay, but was eventually forced to leave the ice and get his knee examined. Once healthy, he's slated to start on the first line on Ryan O'Reilly's right wing. He signed a seven-year contract with the Sabres this past summer and - if healthy - should be able to notch at least 25 goals and 60 points this season.
