The Red Wings placed Fabian Brunnstrom on waivers Saturday. He wasn't getting any playing time in Detroit and the Wings want to see if they can sneak him past waivers and option him to Grand Rapids of the AHL. NHL teams have until Monday noon to make a claim on Brunnstrom. It will be interesting to see if another NHL club takes a gamble on the Swede.
