The Predators' payroll looks to be in good shape for the 2013-14 season. Many clubs could face a cap crunch next year; the league and Players' Association agree that the salary cap should decrease from $70.2, with the NHL asking for $60 million and the NHLPA $65 million. Nashville has $45.4 doled out to 13 players next season, with five restricted free agents to re-sign, the toughest of whom to bring back could be Patric Hornquist. They're also in a good spot if teams have to trade or buy out players because of the cap.
