The Philadelphia Flyers' 14-year offer sheet with Shea Weber is reportedly heavily frontloaded. Weber would reportedly earn $52 over the first four years of the contract and $76 million over the first six seasons. If the Nashville Predators don't end up matching this contract, the severe short and mid-term financial obligations could be a big factor. Presumably, they would have probably signed Weber to a more balanced long-term contract if given the choice.
