The New Jersey Devils have brought up Jeff Frazee from the AHL to dress as Johan Hedberg's understudy on Thursday night. Martin Brodeur said he was feeling well enough to sit on the bench after twisting both of his ankles on Tuesday, but coach Pete DeBoer and GM Lou Lamoriello decided to err on the side of caution by giving him the night off.
