The Nashville Predators would like to sign Shea Weber to a long-term contract, but they might end up needing to go to arbitration. The two sides have an arbitration hearing scheduled for August 2nd. So far this season, no player has made it to arbitration, with the exception of Chris Campoli, who had the arbitration process accelerated after both sides agreed that a deal would not get done. Several players have made it to the day of their arbitration hearing before they finally inked a contract with their team and the same thing might end up happening in this case. We'll keep you posted.
