The Nashville Predators will not extend qualifying offers to Matt Halischuk or Jonathon Blum if they cannot trade them. It's unlikely the Preds will get any offers of substance since both players will become unrestricted free agents without qualifying offers. The deadline for that is Tuesday, which means GM David Poiile will likely spend the day attempting to procure anything of value for the two disappointments. Halischuk had five goals and 11 points in 36 games in 2013, while Blum had one goal and seven points in 35 contests.
