The Nashville Predators have acquired Andrei Kostitsyn from the Montreal Canadiens in exchange for a 2013 second round pick and the return of the conditional pick the Predators got the Hal Gill deal. That's quite a lot to give up for Kostitsyn, given the season he's been having. There was a time when Andrei Kostitsyn was clearly the better of the two Kostitsyn brothers from a fantasy perspective. That hasn't been the case since Montreal shipped Andrei's younger brother, Sergei Kostitsyn to Nashville. Sergei broke out in 2009-10 with 50 points in 77 games and he has 35 points in 56 contests this season. Meanwhile, Andrei has just 24 points in 53 games in 2011-12. Maybe Nashville figures that they can revive another Kostitsyn's career, but the brothers don't have a history of playing well together in the NHL, so we don't see this trade providing either one with a big boost.
