The long layoff has helped defenseman Toni Lydman in recovering from knee and shoulder woes that plagued him last season. Lydman had off-season knee surgery and a wonky shoulder that bothered him all of last season, but he hopes to return to his form of 2010-11 when he had fantasy relevance as he was second in the NHL in plus/minus at plus-32. He faltered last season due to his injuries as he eventually dropped to the third defense pairing due to his injuries and saw his plus/minus fall to even. Look for a return closer to 2010-11 than last season fantasy-wise for the veteran blueliner.
