Lowry was brought up to take the roster spot of Mark Scheifele (head), who was placed on injured reserve. Lowry appeared in 31 games for the Jets earlier this season and tallied a goal and seven assists. It remains to be seen if he will draw into the lineup for the Jets' matchup with the Penguins on Sunday night.
