The Islanders have held preliminary talks with the agent for Evgeni Nabokov with a view of bringing back the soon-to-be unrestricted free agent on a mutil-year deal. Nabokov has been a nice surprise and the Islanders have given up on Rick DiPiero, so it is understandable why both parties would be interested in hooking up again.
