The IIHF has suspended Justin Abdelkader for three games for a high hit against Vladimir Sobotka for a high hit during the 2014 World Championship. Abdelkader's suspension will be served at the start of the 2015 World Championship. This marks the second time he's been suspended for his actions in the 2014 tournament. He also served a one-game ban for a knee-on-knee hit.
