THE GOALIE EDGE: 4/6/2014 primepucks.com Sun 4/6/14 10:47 AM

ALL GOALIES ARE CONFIRMED UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED AT THE TIME OF PRINT The St. Louis Blues won't have much time to wonder what went wrong in their 4-0 loss to the Colorado Avalanche yesterday afternoon as they are right back it today with Brian Elliott facing the Chicago Blackhawks. Corey Crawford should be getting the call for the Hawks as they look to close out the season on a strong note.  Chicago is still within reach of 4th place overall in the Western Conference which would give them home ice advantage through the first round at least; so there is something to play for. Tough matchup to call.... Look for Dallas to go right back to Kari Lehtonen (LIKELY) in the back end of back-to-back nights. The Stars are looking to hold on to the last playoff position in the West and have a game in hand on the Phoenix Coyotes who are chasing them.  They head to Florida to take on Roberto Luongo (LIKELY) and the Panthers who have practically packed it in for the season.   Go Stars.... Short-term memory needs to be in the cards for the Columbus Blue Jackets, who suffered a devastating defeat at the hands of Chicago after allowing a goal with 3.7 seconds left in regulation. Despite only winning 2 of his last 7 starts, Sergei Bobrovsky should be back in net as he has owned the Islanders with a 9-2 career mark and a 2.00 GAA. Must-win situation should bring the best out of the Ohio boys.... After getting the night off for the Flyers, goalie Steve Mason will be back between the pipes today facing a much easier opponent in Buffalo. Even though he has come up short in 3 of his last 4 starts, his stats have been decent- 2.49 GAA and .917 SP. With the opportunity to gain home ice advantage over probable first round playoff opponent New York Rangers, expect the Flyers to bring this one home. Huge edge to Mason... A battle of two "A" teams at the Pepsi Center tonight, as Colorado will host Sidney Crosby and the Penguins. While the Avalanche have been surging, something tells me that the Pens will bounce back strongly after being blanked by the Wild, making a strong statement in the process... Interesting game in Edmonton, as Oiler starting goalie Viktor Fasth gets another chance to beat his old team, the Anaheim Ducks, as he allowed 3 goals on 26 shots in a loss the last time around. Expect more of the same, as the Ducks look to finish ahead of San Jose and the Oilers have been grounded for some time.... FANTASY MUST STARTS: Kari Lehtonen, Dallas @ Florida Sergei Bobrovsky, Columbus vs. New York Islanders Steve Mason, Philadelphia vs. Buffalo SLEEPER: None. DAILY FANTASY PICKS: Steve: (93-64) Sergei Bobrovsky Ray: (90-66) Kari Lehtonen Mike: (70-50) TBA
