The Flyers and Predators could be working on a trade for Shea Weber. Philadelphia general manager Paul Holmgren and Nashville general manager David Poile have spoken "just once," since the defenseman signed the massive 14-year, $110 million offer sheet last Wednesday, according to Sam Carchidi of The Philadelphia Inquirer. That leads him to believe a trade is being worked on in return for Nashville not matching because if Poile was planning to match the offer, he would not need to be talking to his counterpart at all. The Preds have until 11:30 p.m. EST on Wednesday to make their decision.
